Deutsche Bank sponsors the Veterans Virtual Career Fair

As part of its Veterans on Wall Street (VOWS) initiative, Deutsche Bank has signed on as a platinum sponsor for the Veterans Virtual Career Fair presented by UBM Studios Milicruit, a leader in virtual career fairs for veterans.

This Fair is open to all active duty personnel, veterans and military spouses and will showcase dozens of industry leading employers and government agencies who are committed to helping veterans find suitable employment after serving the country.  This recruiting initiative will open online Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 11am and will be available on demand through March 24.

The Veterans Virtual Career Fair provides veteran job seekers the ability to walk the exhibit floor; visit employer booths; view and apply for jobs; speak with recruiters; build a network of peers; and even secure a follow up video interview, all from the veteran’s online and schedule convenience.

Attendance is free of charge and veterans interested in attending should register at http://www.veteranscareerfair.com/ and take a video tour to learn more about how the Veterans Career Fair works.

"We are committed to hiring veterans and Milicruit's virtual career fair is ideal for our organization because it offers an efficient, cost effective and eco-friendly way to recruit talent," said Frank Fehrenbach, Deutsche Bank's Head of Business and Client Strategy Americas. "Many of the skills veterans develop in the military have a direct application on Wall Street. With outstanding military talent returning from Iraq, Afghanistan and other places around the world, this it is a wonderful opportunity for our organization."

The Veterans Career Fair is supported by the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), Wounded Warrior Project, Disabled American Veterans, Department of Labor - VETS, Veterans Affairs - Vet Success, USO, IAVA, Hire Heroes USA, Walter Reed Medical Center, and the Student Veterans of America.

Deutsche Bank launched its VOWS initiative in September 2010 to promote career development and support for veterans inside the Bank. Initiatives such as the Veterans Virtual Career Fair are a part of the ongoing commitment Deutsche Bank has made to its current and prospective veteran employees.
