Traders Magazine honors Wall Street women

This year, Traders Magazine debuts "Wall Street Women: A Celebration of Excellence," an initiative that honors the women in securities trading who have improved their industry and set the stage for the next generation of female traders.

On November 10, Traders Magazine will present 16 awards to female stars who have successfully navigated an ultra-competitive, predominantly male industry, while making strides for the advancement of women in the business. Among those to be honored is Deutsche Bank’s Joanna Fields, Head of Market Structure for the Americas, who will be a given the “Rising Star Award.” The award recognizes influential female professionals who have made a major impact in the industry and who will continue to lead in the next generation.

"Deutsche Bank is proud to have Joanna's professional accomplishments acknowledged by the receipt of this industry award,” said Barry Bausano, Deutsche Bank’s Head of Equities Americas and Co-Head of Global Prime Finance . “Her history in the derivatives arena combined with her market experience made her uniquely qualified to serve in this critical role during a pivotal moment in the development of market structure."

In addition to the individual women recognized, Traders Magazine also selected Deutsche Bank to receive its first “Diversity Achievement Award" in recognition of its efforts as well as its quantitative and qualitative results in achieving gender diversity in the executive ranks.

The award comes less than a month after the Bank’s 17th Annual Women on Wall Street Conference and that of Financial News 100, which featured three Deutsche Bank employees in its list of the 100 most influential women in European banking.
