Deutsche Bank earned another accolade for its commitment to sustainability at Thursday night’s inaugural EBie Awards presented by the Urban Green council, a division of the US Green Building Council. The Bank took home The All-Rounder, an award that recognizes the most improved building across two or more sustainability categories.

Deutsche Bank’s 60 Wall, Americas’ headquarters office, was applauded for the range of energy, water efficiency and water reduction projects that have been implemented through retro-commissioning as well as ongoing maintenance and improvements. Specifically, the Bank was commended for its efforts on the 123 kW solar array that was installed on the roof of 60 Wall, making it the largest flat panel array in Manhattan and the highest in the US.

Deutsche Bank is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2013 and believes that sustainability means future viability. As a corporate citizen, Deutsche Bank strives to be a catalyst for sustainable practices, not just in our own offices, but in the community at large. In addition to this most recent award, Deutsche maintains a strong partnership with the US Green Building Council and was awarded the inaugural International Leadership Award in 2011 for its accomplishments. 60 Wall Street and seven other Americas locations have received LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certification as well as offices located in the UK, and Germany.
