Like every year at the Deutsche Bank Championship, the golf is just one part of the story of this very successful tournament. The DBC is a critical component in Deutsche Bank’s mission to give back to the communities in which it operates. Speaking to NBC on Monday, Seth Waugh, CEO, Deutsche Bank Americas, noted DBC’s charitable and economic impact in the local communities. More than USD 20m has been generated for charitable endeavors since the event’s inception, while the New England region has benefitted from an estimated USD 500m in revenues due to the tournament.
DBC also prides itself on its commitment to celebrating the men and women of the Armed Forces. As part of the Military Appreciation program, all active, reserve, and retired military service members and their dependents received complimentary admission throughout the Championship week and enjoyed the tournament from the special Military Patriot Outpost at the 17th tee.
Prior to the tournament, the Pro-Am competition on Thursday, August 30, provided an action-packed round of golf for Deutsche Bank clients.
