Deutsche Bank recognized on Working Mother’s annual 100 Best Company list

Working Mother has named Deutsche Bank as one of the 2012 Working Mother 100 Best Companies. The honorees were recognized for their progressive workplace programs including child care, flexibility, advancement and paid family leave.

The publication cited Deutsche Bank for its commitment to offering “coaching and peer-mentoring to women who have been back from maternity leave at least six to 18 months.” According to Working Mother, the Bank recognizes the “value of maintaining work networks and keeping their careers on track while also creating a strong community of moms with whom they can discuss everyday challenges and triumphs.” Participants say this “increases their focus and commitment to the firm.” With this approach, Deutsche Bank not only addresses new the initial readjustment period for when returning from maternity leave, but also fosters necessary support “down the line.” The article also lauded Women on Wall Street (WOWS), which has been addressing “how to break through the executive level and act on innovative ideas” for the past 18 years.

With this year’s recognition, Deutsche Bank (or Bankers Trust) has appeared on Working Mother’s 100 Best Companies list 13 times since 1996.

Other companies on the 2012 list include Ernst & Young, HP, Procter & Gamble, Goldman Sachs, Kraft, McGraw Hill Companies and Verizon.  To see the full list, click here.
