Anshu Jain honored at The Jewish Museum’s 28th Annual Purim Ball 2014

Co-Chief Executive Officer Anshu Jain was honored at The Jewish Museum’s 28th Annual Purim Ball on February 26 in New York. Honorees for the annual Purim Ball are selected by the Museum Board Members based on their professional achievements and their ability to strengthen bonds that hold communities together through arts and culture, while building bridges among people of all backgrounds.

The Museum presented Jain with a Kiddush Cup, used to celebrate the Jewish Sabbath and festivals. In thanking the Museum, Jain said, “For 110 years, the Jewish Museum has championed tolerance. For 15 of those years, it’s been Deutsche Bank’s privilege to travel that journey with you.”

Since 1999, the Bank has sponsored various exhibitions at the Museum, including the “Berlin Metropolis: Jews and the New Culture” and “Matisse and the Modern Masters: The Cone Sisters of Baltimore Exhibit”. The Museum played an integral role in the development of the careers of several of the most prominent artists in the Deutsche Bank Collection, including Marc Chagall, Jasper Johns, Dan Flavin and Donald Judd. Jacques Brand, Chief Executive Officer of North America, has served on the Museum’s Board of Trustees since June 2006 and is Co-Chair of the 2014 Purim Ball.

The Jewish Museum’s 28th Annual Purim Ball celebrates the festival of Purim, one of the most important Jewish holidays. The event was held at the Park Avenue Armory and drew around 1,000 guests from the business, art and philanthropy communities.
