Deutsche Bank hosts 20th Annual Women on Wall Street Conference

Deutsche Bank hosted the 20th Annual Women on Wall Street® (WOWS) conference on Wednesday October 8, 2014 in New York. The theme of this year’s conference was Collective Wisdom.

This year’s anniversary conference opened with a Keynote Address by Maria Bartiromo, Anchor and Global Markets Editor at Fox Business Network.

Jill Schlesinger, Business Analyst for CBS News, then moderated a panel among four female influencers on their experiences and how to leverage women's collective wisdom across the sectors of finance, education and technology.

This year’s panelists were:

  • Ayah Bdeir, Founder and CEO of littleBits.
  • Dina Dublon, Former CFO at JPMorgan; Member of the boards of directors at Accenture, Deutsche Bank, Microsoft and PepsiCo.
  • Sonia Gardner, President, Managing Partner and a Co-Founder of Avenue Capital.
  • Katherine Phillips, Professor of Leadership & Ethics, Columbia Business School.

Following the discussion, Schlesinger interviewed Shonda Rhimes, award-winning writer, director and producer.

Closing remarks were made by Jacques Brand, CEO of Deutsche Bank North America and member of the Group Executive Committee.

“It is with immense pride that Deutsche Bank is celebrating its 20th year hosting Women on Wall Street,” said Brand. “In this commemorative year, we honor the collective achievements of women in business, as well as engage in a meaningful discussion on how to harness that knowledge into the future.”

Since the conference’s inception in 1995, attendance has grown from 200 to more than 2,000 women representing all the major international Wall Street firms as well as female executives in asset management, accounting, investment banking, media and academia.
