Deutsche Bank and RecruitMilitary to Host Career Fair for New England Area Veterans

Deutsche Bank today announced a partnership with RecruitMilitary, a full-service military-to-civilian recruiting firm, to sponsor a career fair for U.S. veterans on Sept. 4, 2014, at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA, following the Deutsche Bank Championship golf tournament.

The U.S. national unemployment rate among post-9/11 veterans is 9%, and 11.9% in Massachusetts alone, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. In addition, up to 1.5 million veterans will exit the military over the next five years. The Deutsche Bank/Recruit Military career fair aims to bridge the gap between local corporations seeking qualified job applicants and former members of the U.S. Armed Forces seeking employment.

“Helping our veterans through the transition to life back home has been a mission of ours for many years,” said Jacques Brand, Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Bank North America and member of the Group Executive Committee. “Veterans possess skills which make them ideal job candidates for any organization, and we are proud to partner with RecruitMilitary to connect hundreds of veterans with top employers.”

More than 70 companies will be onsite at the career fair from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm ET, including Apple, Comcast, EMC Corporation, Home Depot, Lockheed Martin, Lowe’s, Raytheon, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, USAA, and Wellington.

“There is a real need for organizations such as Deutsche Bank to step in and help serve veterans of all ranks, rates, and branches of the armed forces as they return home in record numbers,” said Robert Arndt, Director of Federal Sales, RecruitMilitary. “Ongoing support from established corporations allows us to continue helping U.S. veterans apply their skills.”

Deutsche Bank is one of the founding members of Veterans on Wall Street (VOWS), an initiative dedicated to honoring former military personnel and employees currently in the National Guard and Reserve by facilitating career and business opportunities in the financial services industry.

RecruitMilitary connects employers, franchisors, and educational institutions with men and women who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, veterans who already have civilian work experience, members of the National Guard and reserve forces, and military spouses through various online and offline initiatives.
