Deutsche Bank scores 100 on Corporate Equality Index

For the 12th consecutive year, Deutsche Bank has been recognized with a perfect score of 100 by the Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) annual Corporate Equality Index (CEI). According to HRC, a top score of 100 represents a commitment to progress for the equal rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Americans.

“We are thrilled to once again achieve a perfect score on the Corporate Equality Index,” said Jacques Brand, CEO of North America and GEC member. “I am very proud of the inclusive culture in our workplace. It’s the right thing to do. And our business benefits from a diverse workforce.”

Deutsche Bank is committed to supporting the LGBT community. The Employee Network Group (ENG) dbPride promotes an environment where all LGBT employees can realize their full potential as Deutsche Bank employees. The Bank’s continued participation in the annual Out on the Street Leadership Summit establishes the Bank as an industry leader in equal rights for LGBT employees. Deutsche Bank also highlights the importance workplace allies – those who do not identify as LGBT but are invested in equality and workplace inclusion. For the first time in 2014, Deutsche Bank flew the Rainbow Pride flag at its offices in New York, Jacksonville and Cary to recognize LGBT June Pride Month.

The Human Rights Campaign is America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve LGBT equality. The organization’s CEI 2015 rated 781 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community.
